Ariel: Celebration Under the Sea
Ariel is, of course, the star of the Disney movie The Little Mermaid. And it's a love story that starts beneath the waves.

Ariel is one of King Triton's daughters; in fact, she's the youngest (she's 16). And she's fascinated by the world of humans (much to her family's dismay).
In fact, King Triton got so angry with Ariel's curiosity that he demands that she restrain herself; mermaids and humans are not supposed to meet.
Ariel is sad about this...but it doesn't prevent her curiosity from getting the better of her. In fact, she collects human artifacts and hides them in her secret grotto under the sea.
Meanwhile, Ariel's best friend is a fish called Flounder, and she's also friends with a crab by the name of Sebastian.
As the movie progresses, Ariel saves the life of the very human Prince Eric. And she's smitten!
Desperate, Ariel visits Ursula, the sea witch. Ariel wants to be human, and she trades her voice for the chance to be human for 3 days. Unfortunately, Ariel doesn't realize that Ursula is using her to trap King Trident!
Ariel is transformed into a human and is found by Prince Eric. Alas, she can't speak of her love and before she can get the "kiss of true love", the 3 days have passed and she's turned back into a mermaid - and in the power of the evil Ursula!
A battle ensues between Ursula and King Triton, and King Triton eventually wins. As the film ends, Ariel is changed into a human (for good) by King Triton's trident, and she marries Prince Eric.

Snow White: Two Hearts as One
Snow White began as a beloved fairy tale from Germany, and then got a dose of magic from the Disney movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs all the way back in 1937. She sure doesn't look it, but Snow White is the oldest of the Disney Princesses!
The Story of Snow White
"Mirror, mirror, on the wall/Who is the fairest of them all?" is the famous quote from the movie Snow White. But did you realize that the actual quote is actually "Magic mirror, on the wall/Who is the fairest of them all?".
And the answer, of course, was "Snow White"!
Snow White is the story of a princess who is forced to be a scullery maid by her evil stepmother, the Queen Brangomar. The Queen is enraged when the mirror names Snow White as the fairest. Jealousy prevails and the Queen orders Snow White to be killed.
The huntsman who was to take Snow White into the forest to be killed couldn't bear to take her life. Snow White thus ended up in the forest with the Seven Dwarfs. Alas, the Queen finds out that Snow White is still alive, and dressing up as a hag, she offers Snow White a poisoned apple, which makes Snow White fall into a deep sleep. She cannot awaken unless she receives a kiss of true love.
We know the rest of the story; that her true love (Prince Florimond) finds her and awakens her with a kiss. And of course, they live happily ever after!

Disney Princess Belle: Getting to Know You
Belle, "Getting to Know You" is the Disney Princess Poster for today. And what a lovely princess she is!

Belle is the heroine of the Disney movie "Beauty and the Beast", which was released in 1991. And by the way, did you know that this Disney film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture? It's the only animated movie that's been nominated for that award! Although the movie didn't win Best Picture, it did win for Best Song and Best Original Score.
"Beauty and the Beast" has also been named as one of the 100 great love stories of all time.
Belle is the only daughter of Maurice, an inventor. Her suitor is Gaston, whom Belle seems so-so about.
Maurice is lost in the woods and comes across the Beast's castle. There, the Beast throws him into the dungeon!
Belle comes to the Beast's castle and asks to remain as a substitute, and let her father go. Since Belle is so lovely, naturally the Beast agrees.
Belle is befriended by the Beast's servants...who appear as everyday household items, due to a spell. The Beast is also under a spell, that until he learns to love and be loved, he will remain as a Beast instead of being human.
Of course, Belle eventually falls in love with the Beast and he falls in love with her and the spell is broken.

Cinderella is the timeless Disney Princess that is arguably the most popular of these lovely ladies.

In fact, in Walt Disney World in Florida, the castle that is the icon of the Magic Kingdom is Cinderella's Castle.
The story of Cinderella is of hope and how good triumphs in the most amazing ways. The story opens that Cinderella has lost her mother and then her father. She's left with her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, who order her around like a slave. She's called Cinder-Ella at this point.
But Bibbidy-Bobbidy-Boo! Cinderella's fairy godmother appears and things start to change. She has a gown and a pumpkin that turns into a carriage, and our Disney Princess rides to the royal ball.
At the ball, Prince Charming falls in love with Cinderella. But Cinderella must get away before midnight strikes, or she will turn back into Cinder-Ella in front of everyone!
Running to her coach, she loses one of her glass slippers, and that's all Prince Charming has in order to find her.
And find Cinderella he does! She's the only one in the kingdom who fits into the glass slipper. Cinderella turns into a princess, and marries her prince.
